More New Features - New Dashboard Plugin, Site Wide Feeds

Written by The Naib

So you couldn’t care less about the goings on in the WordPress world, or perhaps you would like to put your own rss feed on your dashboard. Well now you can simply go to the plugin menu and turn on your MyDashboard plugin. This will then allow you to customize your dashboard, you can remove the parts you don’t want, and even add custom RSS feeds to the dashboard.

Perhaps you want to add the MySietch site wide feed (that is the most recent of all the posts from all the blogs on MySietch) to your dashboard to keep track of what everyone else is doing. Well now you can. Here are the addresses for the feeds.

All recent posts

All recent comments

If you wanted to add any of these feeds (or any other feed) to your custom dashboard you would do the following.

1. go to the plugin menu and activate the MyDashboard plugin
2. go to your dashboard and click on the add gadget link in the upper right
3. locate the rss feed gadget and click on add to page
4. locate the rss feed gadget on your page and click on the small V icon
5. enter in the feed you want to highlight
6. enjoy

Want to track more than one feed, you can add more than one feed simply follow the same six steps above. Most of the gadgets can be edited using the V icon.

I might be adding more Dashboard gadgets as time goes on.

Let me know if you experience any problems.
