Finished the plot
Remember that garden plot I told you about before? Well, I’ve been hauling compost to fill it one bucket at a time, and today I put some of the wood chips (from the branches that fell in the ice storm) on top as mulch. The mulch made this look nicer and makes it so I don’t have to water as much.
I had planted this plot with onion sets, my blueberry bush, some herbs and a miniature rose bush a few days ago.
So here we are!

The rocks are to keep the dirt from washing away from the downspout. When it rains here, it literally pours.
I’ll have to admit I had a reason for doing this today. There’s a freeze coming tonight, and mulching is a good way to keep small plants warm.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing. It appears that your garden borders your patio. How convenient!

Thanks
Tricia, that’s our front porch. It is very convenient, and smells really nice with all the herbs there. I have another plot similar to that on the back porch where I grow lettuces and peas during the winter.
