from www.youtube.com posted with vodpodI do this on my teenagers’ socks using ordinary thread. That ‘mushroom’ thing they’re using would make it a lot easier! I’ll have to find one, or you could use a small cup or jar in place of that.When using thread on the finer-woven socks (like commercial ones), I like to use a diagonal weave or two, just to fill it in better. My kids call them ‘frankensocks’, but they don’t mind them too much, as it’s nice for them not to have to buy new socks all the time.

That is an awesome video! I just wore a hole in one of my first pairs of sock I’ve knit. I’m definitely going to try this. Hope your socks are going well. : )
