I'm a big fan of cut and come again lettuce growing. It's gotten hot enough, though, that I started thinning them out to let some heads form. Those are the ones I'm worried about ... I hardly ever got to this stage in California before they bolted on me.</description>

I can’t say for sure because I’ve never tried it, but I have heard that y ou can “shock” lettuce plants into not bolting by digging them up and immediately re-planting them. It’s supposed to make the plant think it still needs to concentrate on growing, not making seed. It may be worth a try. If you do, let me know how it works. My lettuce is taking FOREVER as we have had a very on again off again spring. Good Luck!
