Free seeds!
Wintersown.org has free seeds (after a few hoops to jump through) for anyone who would like to try sowing seeds in the winter.

Ed Hume Seeds will send you free seeds if you promise to participate in the Plant A Row For The Hungry program.

Here’s something I ran across: the Free Seeds Ring . This is a forum where you can trade seeds you have (but don’t want or have too many of) for seeds you want! I haven’t actually used this, but it looked interesting. They have a US and and EU ring there.
Redwood City Seed Company will send free seeds to your kids when you make an order. Scroll down for the link to the offer.
If you like Dagoba Organic Chocolate, you might want to join their seed club. If you do, you get free seeds!
And there’s always saving seeds from things you get at the store. Since they’re likely to be hybrids, it might not grow out exactly like what you bought, but it’s a fun (and free) way to experiment.
